At Sequoia Academy, our vision is to make the educational journey a thoughtful and rewarding experience for each of our students. Several core values and guiding principles direct us as we strive to reach that goal. We firmly believe that all our students have the capacity to unlock their potential and contribute their own perspective and their unique energy to the communities around them. We aim to lead our students down that path by instilling in them three key qualities. 

• Intellectual curiosity. Far from being an idle skill, we believe intellectual curiosity is an integral part of ceaselessly approaching issues and problems with an open mind and finding inventive solutions.
  
  
• Proactive creativity. Creativity empowers students to act on their observations and to evolve the world around them
  
  
• Discipline and efficiency. While both curiosity and creativity are vital in constructing finding new solutions or approaching existing thought processes in a novel way, discipline is needed to realize those solutions. Without the discipline to see an idea to fruition, these qualities are incomplete.
